The battery in the remote needs replaced – Just like every other remote electronic device your keyless entry remote needs a battery. This is one of the most common reasons why your keyless entry has stopped working. A good tip is to keep a few batteries in your glovebox or middle console to have on hand if the battery needs replacing. If you replace the battery and it still doesn’t work it may be something a little more difficult to troubleshoot.
